I vacuum my fire tubes once per week now - I found that if I keep this ritual up, I have no CO issues whatsoever. I gave it a complete cleaning back at the end of January.
I throw a curved piece of galvy I had here over the fire with pliers, unplug the stoker, then vac all the tubes out thoroughly. Remove the galvy and toss it in the sump for an instant cool-down (after making sure the frog isn't nearby), and I'm off and running again.
