The Koker-lite looks looks much like the 160 except it has a solid steel door instead of the cast door with glass which wouldn't be a bad thing IMO. Now I'm wondering what the size & hinge difference would be.

Thanks for the pic's bro, I'm looking at pic #3 and thinking rectangular duct work from the k-lite to the diagonal face of the main supply truck, it's about 2 feet above the front of the furnace. What do you think?

I like the Koker-lite It reminds me of some of the Leisure Line products without the glass.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking too. Got a guy coming by tomorrow to take a look at it. I'll post pics and details when this project is complete. Sam, any places around us thst have good coal for a decent price?

Keep in mind that all that duct work is a large conductor of hot and cold, you may want to insulate, thin foil faced, self adhesive with aluminum tape. You want to keep as much heat in the ducts going to the rooms above. I did not as I wanted my floors above (wood and tile, and bathroom) to be warmed.

You may not want to restrict your convection air with the corrugated round duct coming off the stove. It looks like it is only about 8" or so. The 1000 cfm blower, I would think, should blow much more air than what the round duct can handle. Might as well take advantage of the maximum output of your stove and blower and put in a rectangular plenum that fits over the koker's opening, then run large enough duct(s) from the plenum to the existing duct work in order to take full advantage of the blower's capability.

On the attached picture, I have two 8 x 16 ducts coming off my plenum, and that is with a 1500 cfm blower. I would imagine at the very least you would want a duct size equivalent to an 8 x 16 so there is little restriction in the air flow from the stove to your existing ducts.

kh, a few other local members & myself get coal from a local Amish guy not far off of Rt. 6 , he carries Blaschak both bagger & some sizes like rice & stove in bulk. I don't know about too far South of me but you always have to keep in mind that Ohio taxes coal. Right now many suppliers seem to be running low so it's better to check before making a trip & a lot depends on if you can haul it yourself or not. If you let me know when you get to that point I can check & see what he has, the price for bulk rice was $250/ton, he runs an add in those free papers that come in the mail.

Is it Cherry Valley Stoves, the Amish fella's just west of Andover?

It's Junior Delagrange at 17584 Tighe Rd. Linesville,Pa. his bagged is listed as $325 /skid that's 60 bags per skid but he'll sell lesser amounts & bulk as well. The problem is no phone. I know Cherry Valley has a phone but whatever their price is add 6% I believe for tax. There are a few others around mostly Amish Swarths up near Conneautville & others every once in awhile off season some run sales.

I bought my unit from Cherry Valley. Great people! They're nearly out of rice at the moment though. Wanted to grab a few more bags to hold me over til I can find time to run into PA for some of that tax-less coal!

Anyone know how a pallet rides in the back of a Silverado 1500? To heavy, or just take 'er easy...?

I used to haul one in my Ram 1/2 ton, had them push it in a wee bit to center over the wheels & took it easy.

I haul pallets in a 1500. She squats quite a bit, so I take it easy. Remember a pallet is 2400 #s, not a ton. My coal dealer is 5 miles away from me so it isn't too bad of a distance. I don't think I would want to go much farther with that load.

The Keystoker website says that the Lite is 25" inches deep, is that right?
