Alaska Channing III Combustion Motor

Today my combustion motor started making some unwelcome noises. Not too loud...yet I'm betting its heading that way. The paddle pole motor they are using frankly I think is a joke. This would be the second one I have put on in 3 years. Have you guys found anything better you could suggest?

Did you see my post on replacing bearings.....

If they are using the same C Framed motor...
