All smoke pipe is triple screwed together. Every time I go to screw the baro damper in, it moves out of plumb! GRRRR!!! Metal tape all around for now. Will re attempt screwing when I calm down! Lol!

Good Idea....Never Screw when you're Angry,Upset or Frustrated !
Somehow the assembly's getting torqued. Recheck how it was bedded into the pipe, prior to drilling and fastening in.....

I have found that slightly out of plumb does not make much difference. If it is only moving a little I would not lose any sleep over it unless your over-fire draft readings are way out of spec. That should be -.02 on the KA6 if memory serves me but I do drink occasionally so don’t take my word for it.

Mine's out of plumb too, a little. If I don't like how it behaves, I move the weight a little.
Perfect is the enemy of good.

I have a Fields Type M, and instead of screwing it in, I just sealed it in place with high temperature silicone rubber adhesive. The M's have very little perimeter lip through which to run screws.
