I took the time today to install a stoker mechanism in our KA-2 boiler. The original was getting noisy and annoying! In the process I found a large chuck of coal at the bottom of the hopper that seemed to be restricting the flow of coal. This might have been part of my out fire problems. Well everything is clean, vacuumed, and I also oiled the blower motor with a few drops of oil. I plan to take the old stoker mechanism apart and relube and keep it for a spare.
All quiet in the basement!!

Peace of mind is sometimes worth twice the cost. Enjoy the beautiful fall color change that is coming fast. Mike
