Fun at the Fair!

A Coal stoker furnace or stove controls most operations including automatically feeding the coal. They are quite similar to any conventional oil and gas units and easily operated for extended periods of time. They commonly use rice coal but may use larger sizes like buckwheat. They can be used as primary heat, supplementary heat or have a dual set up with your existing oil/gas furnace.

It is always fun at the county fair to ask the guys selling outdoor wood boilers if they have a unit that can easily heat my 4200 sq. ft. house and hot water, only require loading every 3 to 4 weeks, with no lifting of fuel and produce no smoke in my neighborhood.

After they give the "thats not possible look"', I tell them I have a system home doing just that.

Gotta love the Fair OWB guys! Every year I see the beautiful Heatmor unit thats cost as much as my pickup truck blue book value. I sure can buy an aweful lot of coal for that. And too think almost 3 years ago I would have bought one if I didnt do some research. Talk of fair got me thinkin, the big Sullivan County PA fair starts next week!
