Coal Man Just Brought My Coal

A Coal stoker furnace or stove controls most operations including automatically feeding the coal. They are quite similar to any conventional oil and gas units and easily operated for extended periods of time. They commonly use rice coal but may use larger sizes like buckwheat. They can be used as primary heat, supplementary heat or have a dual set up with your existing oil/gas furnace.

Nice looking coal!

10 tons would last me a bit more than 2 years if only used to heat the home. I seem to use about 4.6 tons for home heat plus DHW during the heating season proper, and 1 additional ton for warm weather DHW only. Total = 5.6 tons per year.

Theo,
Did that rice coal come from New Wilmington again this time?
Or did you try a different supplier?
