Anthraking 110K Settings

I don't know whether to post this under this forum or the AC forum as I figure it would be of interest to all coaltrol users as well but here goes.

After all my work over the years in getting the air house flow right, I am back to square 1. My furnace is in the basement and I quickly now need to create two small offices there. In ripping out the walls of course I have messed up my air flow sysytems. As crude as they were they were working really well. My architects plans consist of a tiger saw and a head scratch or two.

So here is the problem- My fan is not blowing enough air and with that oversized squirrel cage (1700CFM) driving the stove until I am sure can be easily fixed. As I continue to build out this winter and stay warm at the same time I may need to constantly adjust things. So now for the first time I am perhaps needed to understand more about the advanced coaltrol settings. I'll never get out of coal college at this rate!

Model LL AnthraKing 110K hot air with a powervent

Warm Air Outlet

14" duct now going into a 25ft H&C (R 6) flexible duct system that back feeds into my 5 ton AC unit. Those ducts being about 24" x7". I think I can move a lot of air around if I get this right.

Inlet

Aprilaire 5000 feeding to a MERV 12 filter (LOVE that clean air). Under construction was a humidistat controlled by a sail switch that I have to put aside for now.

Cold air return was convective and seemed to work very well but perhaps I might now have to reconsider.

Coal trol model CF OEM 1

The basic settings I think I understand well but now I haved found the advanced settings and I can't see posts on this one.

FEED I understand and TEST I got that one too but now onto the advanced stuff.

Function Default
A 70F
R 75F
TB 130
SFT 15
CFM 30
HLF 0
MF 60
MT 60
RESET (I got that one)

Gulp - now what?

Do you have any back flow prevention at the existing furnace or is the air blowing back out the filter of the main furnace? Also set the CFM to 40. Thanks, Dave

No blow back and the stove is working like a champ - thanx . I will up the CFMs. BTW, the furnace is a stand alone. At what setting does the fan come on at 15 (SFT??) and can I lower that - I don't care if the air is luke warm?

I guess from your reply that the other settings are a secret that you don't want newbie idiots screwing with. :) :) :) :partyhat:

If you look in the CoalTrol Section for the V3 features, it explains some of the features.

Coal-Trol V3 Firmware Features

Most of these settings you don't have to mess with. Usually just the Min/Max, CFM.

Wow, thx! I never knew what version CT I had and this explains everything. Love this board and you have to love those AC people. Time to tinker. I wish this weather pattern would change, I can't get my stoves out of first gear.
