Keystoker Gearbox Oil Viscosity

Keystoker said they use an 80-90 gear oil like you would put in a rear end of a car or truck, of course there are not many cars out there like that anymore but 80W-90 gear oil is easy to find. You do not fill the gear case. If the shaft is halfway in oil that should be plenty. I think Don at Keystoker said about half full or something like that. If you want to be sure give them a call.

Hey Dan! Gaw hit the nail on the head. 90W oil and 3/4 full is what the rep at Keystoker told me last fall. By the way, it was good to see you the other day.
hey gaw thanks for the info about the gear oil level and viscosity. It's nice to post a question on this forum and receive valuable info. Hey bob, the invite is still there to visit , will show you the magnahelic guage I use instead of a manometer. The cost was $15, included the guage and fittings for the leftover copper tubing for refrigerator ice dispenser .
