Recently replaced the rheostat controls with a coal trol on my alaska 140 dual paddle furnace. Only one thing to say ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !!!!!!! Using less coal, keeps a 2500 sq ft 1830's farm house within 1 degree of the set temp, which is a toaty 72.

My settings are min 8 max 35. I run 1 stoker down to about 15 degrees, in the cold I am using about 100 pounds a day. We had a cold spell of -4 to 10 degrees a while back ate about 160 pounds a day with both burners going. I have tried it both ways in 30 degree weather and definatly uses more coal with both stokers going.
