New to Coal

A Coal stoker furnace or stove controls most operations including automatically feeding the coal. They are quite similar to any conventional oil and gas units and easily operated for extended periods of time. They commonly use rice coal but may use larger sizes like buckwheat. They can be used as primary heat, supplementary heat or have a dual set up with your existing oil/gas furnace.

In ~3 months, I should have a Leisure Line hot water coal fired boiler installed to replace an aging GE oil fired unit. I found out about both coal and LL from this website, thank you very much, and I am anxious for the work to begin.

Only one slight problem, there still isn't a manual of the installation instructions.....Matt?... ;)

I'm sure you will be very happy with this unit and the manufacturer.

In fact, I'm jealous!

Shouldnt; be much different then any other stove or boiler install. The basic connections will be the same. Just depends on your system configuration.

Burner on the boiler failed this weekend, and I had to do triage on it to get back up and running.

There was a youtube video someone put up of a guy taking apart my burner......I love the internet.

Anyhow, I may be moving up the date of the installation, based on how much longer I think I can keep the current boiler going.
