Am cleaning out and summerizing my Magnum . On the pusher assembly there are two pillow block bearings with oil ports, but the book (and the first owner's operating notes) give no mention on how much or what type of oil to use. I have a silimilar setup on my farm shop's h.w. circulator, it takes 10 drops of 90W gear oil every few months or so. Is this about right, or what works good? Or should I oil them a little now and again before firing up this fall?

I checked the Harman manuals, no reccomendation as to what type of oil to use. I would use a general purpose electric motor oil such as 3M. These are sintered bronze bearings, a lighter oil will soak through the metal and provide the lubrication.

I use synthetic 5W30 motor oil. Seems to work fine and is somethig I already have on the shelf.
