Pocono 110

A Coal stoker furnace or stove controls most operations including automatically feeding the coal. They are quite similar to any conventional oil and gas units and easily operated for extended periods of time. They commonly use rice coal but may use larger sizes like buckwheat. They can be used as primary heat, supplementary heat or have a dual set up with your existing oil/gas furnace.

I know they have had the upgrade for a couple years, if you do a search on here. But the guys from LL can probably give you more specifics....

I think they started using the 110,000 BTU burner late 2008. However I'm sure Matt or Dave will set us straight. If you need a larger output than a 90,000 BTU unit this 110,000 rated unit will put out considerably more and the 110,000 BTU figure is quite conservative.

My dealer thought they tested it at the factory at 122K I don't doubt it, my Poco kicks ass. I kinda read they were going to bring out a hyfire II (III) with two of these and its gone very quiet. My guess it was too hot for the box size. Love my poco so bought another one as the area to be heated has risen. So ol' man winter lets see what you got - I'm waiting.

I'm hoping that that is the new test unit that I will be installing in my garage this fall. :shifty:

I really don't mind testing units for manufacturers. It helps them do some accurate real world testing while allowing me to see the future of coal burning appliances.
