I have a Keystoker 90 Hearth that I would like to add a col-trol to. Will I have to remove the timer and overheat switch to do this? Also will
col-trol supply the cords I need? I called col-trol more then a week ago with no call back. Are they on vacation?
Thanks
John

Hi Bigjohn,
You will remove your factory control box and mount the coal trol box. When you say over heat switch, do you mean a fume switch??? Either way you would plug your "overheat switch" into the wall then plug your coal trol into the over heat switch. That way if your switch would trip because of a malfuction It would shut off power to the coal trol and in turn shut down the stove. As for them being on vacation I am not sure? I would give it a little, they are a good company to deal with.
Hope this helps, Eric

Eric Thanks for the replay. The overheat switch is really called a Fan & Limit control. It turnes on the convection motor when the stove heats up. If it dosen't cool quick enough the switch shuts off the stoker. I hope that with the col-trol that I could remove all this stuff [Timer and fan & limit switch]. John

Sorry about the delay and getting back to you. I'll send you a PM to get contact information and make sure someone from the shop contacts you.
You will end up removing the timer, or at least wiring around it. However, you have the option of retaining the overheat switch. There is a cord package that can be bought which will supply what you need to install on a Keystoker stove (many stoves come with motors with cords, hence the optional cord package).
We'll help you through the installation if the instruction booklet doesn't cover what you need. And the folks on the board here are pretty helpful, too.
