Using Domestic Hot Water Coil in Channing III to Heat Baseboard Radiation
anybody using these to heat baseboard radition or in radiant. I know that it would take along time to heat all the water but here in western n.y we have 7 months of heating. it should be warm buy then. even if water temp is 130 should throw heat . I know ther was some discussion on this earlier just wondering if it would be worth buy hot water coil. I have a channing III 2 years old.

Hi wally, do a search for water coil, there are several, I will try to find a couple of the threads and post them here.
A hot water coil in your stove will provide some heat for domestic hot water and baseboard heat. But a water coil is not a boiler, it has limited heat capacity. If you are just trying to keep the chill off a room durning cool weather and not heat it during sub zero weather the wter coil will work fine.
