I bought and installed it yesterday. It is awesome!! 15X better than the hand-fired stove it replaced. I have it running about 3.5 dots right now. I backed it off to 2 and it started to die out. It doesn't seem like the first 2 dots mean anything because the stroke goes from 2 to 3.5. The indicator never goes all the way back to 1. Is the indicator adjustable? maybe its really running 2.5. I really pumped with it right now. I have it set at 3 on/12off 9 extended blower. The therometer is between the Stoker and the barometric dampner

You should be ashamed, saving that kind of money. It's just not right!
If you loosen the screw that holds the pointer, you can tip it to the first dot. There may be some build up of fines keeping it from going all the way forward. Nice find, I'm jealous. You saved yourself $2500.53,that alone, would make me feel warm all over.
Stay warm, Jimmy

I hate to say this, but mine was free. All I had to do was remove it from my neighbors basement. A case of beer and 3 friends made it a fairly simple job.

You guys are making me cry!! FREE~, $225, $1100 including coal.....
It took five weeks of design, and fabrication to bring my boiler to life.
I don't want the think about the initial cost, but of course it has already paid itself back in one season. And the house is warm!
