Hi all. Getting ready for a heating season and trying to out new seals on my door. I got 3/4 all round and now my fire door is super hard to close and it doesnt fit in my ash door. Is the ash door a 1/2 round and the door flat?

I don’t have a keystoker but I’m in the process of changing all my gaskets on my Alaska for first time. When you took the old gaskets out did you measure them? On my alaska stove I know the window gasket was flat, around the door believe it was 3/8 and the ash door was bigger I believe 7/8. I haven’t put the new gaskets in yet so I can’t tell you if mine is harder to close yet.

Also this might help you with measuring correctly. There’s a pdf on there you can print out that helps with measuring..

I just checked my coal stove folder. 3/4 inch round for both doors and 1/2 inch flat for the glass. You can slightly stretch the round to make it not so bulky, and maybe buy you some clearance. I also put the seams at the center of the bottom of each door. I figure is they leak there they will just pull draft. No science here just opinion.
