For those that are unaware Mr. Waxman could be defined as a radical environmentalist at least IMO, at the very least he has supported and pushed through legislation in the past such as sponsoring the safe climate act of 2007 which has not made it out of congress yet:Henry Arnold Waxman (born September 12, 1939 in Los Angeles, California) is an American politician and will be the next Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. He has represented California's 30th congressional district (map) in the U.S. House of Representatives since 1975. Waxman, a Democrat, is considered to be one of the most influential liberal members of Congress. He serves the cities of West Hollywood, Santa Monica and Beverly Hills, and parts of the city of Los Angeles. Before his election to Congress, he served six years in the California State Assembly.

As I have already pointed out numerous times Obama has the same views as Waxman. No new coal plants unless they can store the CO2 which at this point in time can't be done. The fact is without coal plants energy prices are going to sky rocket, Obama has said that himself. As I see it things are going to get much worse. Mr. Waxman of course won't be effected, check who he represents.
