rman, that's an old article from June and the boilers in question are staying. The Honeywell contract talked about in the article is no longer an issue because they withdrew it. Another pkan from PPL is going to be used instead where they will be installing gas boilers which I don't see the point. The bottom line is coal heat is not leaving the court house unless the gas is cheaper which isn't going to happen.

As a boiler operator back in the early eighties, I ran three Keeler Water Tube Boilers, that were installed in 1926. There was absolutely nothing wrong with them. If they pass a Hydro test, the rest is gravy.
