I was wondering if anyone knows what operation used to be right along Rte 443 (Suedburg Road) just outside of Pine Grove, PA? I happened to see these and knew exactly what they were but they look very old and dilapidated. These shutes are located in Schuylkill county about a mile from the Lebanon county line.

Yep that’s them. I’m curious to know the history on them and who owned them back in the day

I moved to that area in 2005 and it was abandoned then. I was told once what the name of the coal company was but I forgot.

Seen this many times bypassing I-81 lane shutdowns. Open PDF for answer. Great biking/hiking/camping area.
