Ages ago, I got about 4 tons of Jeddo highland rice from a brutal basement mining project. As hard as glass and very low ash. I believe that the Hazleton area coal was known for that. Maybe it still is.
In the early ‘90’s I was also able to have Hazelton area coal here in Indiana thru the Amish cartel

It was definitely the hardest, cleanest coal and lowest ash coal I’ve ever used. At the time I never knew where it came from.

I used 3 ton of Blashack one year, far from my favorite

Just .02 worth of personal experience, YMMV

How's Jeddo compare to Blaschak?
Both put out a good product but I think most people (myself included) that have burned both would say the coal from Jeddo tends to have a lower ash content.

Unfortunately my delivery guy only deals with Blaschak. Just ordered 3 tons at $315/ton. Last year was $250. I'm going to try to find some Jeddo delivered to NE Pa. I can fit another 3 tons.

That is the greatest feeling. The worst feeling is realizing someone else has more coal in the bin than you do.

Can any of you Jeddo users tell me if the coal has a lot of fines and if the sizing is consistent? My coal guy who sells Blaschak used to deal with them years ago and mentioned they weren't as clean as Blaschak.
