I have spent a couple hours looking for a magnetic thermostat and a IR heat sensor. I would like one that is made in the US. I believe this is an impossible task. I am really tired of supporting China. Amazon seem to go to extreme lengths to hide where most of their stuff is made, If they tell you at all. Anyone know where I kind find the US items I listed above? Shopping for USA items should not be this hard!

Not that hard;

W.W. Grainger has Fluke Infrared handheld thermometers, the least expensive unit is $160.04

Dwyer instruments has thermometers for flue temperatures.

I have one from Woodstock that came with my stove. It is made in USA but is quite old. Maybe give them a call and see. I think they stick to USA products.

Their infrared thermometer are made in Malaysia as well.
I would trust a Fluke product for sure.
The Snap-On hand held infrared thermometers are made in Germany
I think and more expensive than the least costly Fluke infrared thermometers.

The Dwyer products are well built american made products as well.

I would certainly trust these brands and the fact that they can be recalibrated
by the manufacturer if needed.

Thanks Izaharis.....It really isn't a matter of trust but a need to support American made products. I am not much of a Globalist. I will look into the Dwyer products as well. Thanks
