Yup, just like any other animal. Start out tiny and just keep growing. Got a boulder buried next to the septic system, 4" was showing above ground. They went 6' down before they realized even if they found the bottom of it, that nobody local had anything big enough to get it out, more or less move it somewhere.

Coal ash increases concrete's strength. The Roman's used ash from Pompeii and a lot of that stuff is still around.waytomany?s wrote: ↑Sun. Nov. 29, 2020 7:46 amWas it just to get rid of it? Or did it serve a purpose?

Yeah, but no freeze/thaw there. Not arguing your point of strength, but I thought the weather erosion factor is what did concrete in? It also seems I read somewhere that the longer it cures that the stronger it is.coaledsweat wrote: ↑Sun. Nov. 29, 2020 9:36 amCoal ash increases concrete's strength. Our borough let's my husband take it and dump it on their cinder pile for spreading on the streets in the winter. My dad and brother will also take it to spread on their haul road and landing so their log truck driver can get in and out.
