Yes... Full blown buffoonery happening here, but oh so pretty and that sulfur aroma, I'm in heaven.... I am a very sick man that needs to get his AA running..

What you see here is 4 measuring cups of pea size in the burner pot, fed in by hand. I've got the combustion air setting down to a minimum and this thing is throwing heat like mad

Please dont try this at home, I am a trained professional :what:

Itll be interesting to see how long 4 cups of coal will burn. It's been 45 minutes and it doesn't look any different..

 of course not.
Once I noticed the inside wall of the fire pot starting to glow a little I turned the combustion air down further :o

The combustion air cools the grate similar to a flat bed stoker.
It's fine, under control, I dont think any harm will come from it, I hope..

Disclaimer:

I should a warn though, putting coal in the hopper of a wood pellet stove would most likely be catastrophic for the auger and/or auger motor, so I wouldn't try it.

Hummm,,,,... Yes, we have seen this type of "recreational coal burning" before. This can only mean one thing, full blown "Stoker Madness" has set in.

Don't worry Lee you are in the right place, we can help you with this problem.
