Yep, that's about it--drill & tap--make sure to put lots of anti-seize on new ones.

This came up on the forum elsewhere recently...
I got my screws out...had to heat the door around one, but it finally came out. This after spraying it with wd-40 and letting it soak for two days.
Sad thing was I kept struggling with a screwdriver and totally forgot about my impact drills and drivers. Could have clutched them back to 1-3 and let them hammer. Oh well...heat did the trick.
Was planning on putting some high temp never seize on the threads of the screws, but I can’t locate any in a small tube. I did buy a small tube good to 1600, but I was wanting the gold stuff....that I can’t seem to find locally. Will check Fastenal and some auto-parts stores come Monday.
