I had my driveway graveled a couple years ago. I use three bushel baskets for ash. when all three are full they get dumped across the driveway in a even"stripe" . Amazin' how hard the driveway is where the ash has been dumped. Just like concrete :) Scott

Like in the original thread....excellent for traction. A nice side benny is the color of the driveway this spring. Ash makes a nice contrast to plain ol river run gravel IMO. Bits of differening colors, very cool. I look forward to years of maintaining the drive with left over ashes, no more paying for fill in's.

Ken, just put down the ash, tell everyone you are taking up 'Yard and drive ART'.. and this is your first artistic creation !!

Seriously though, I'd use the ash in the drive anyway,, just add gravel over it if you don't like the looks.. the ash will usually be mottled red/grey/black.
