Natural Mica

There is a rock display at my job for the geology department. Interestingly enough I’ve walked past it for years and never really looked at them too in depth. I noticed there is a rock on display called Muscovite Mica. Interesting...that is what is used for stove glass! Cool to see it in it’s natural form.

We used to find little two inch pieces of it in the dirt while playing as a youth in the 50-60s . We would peel it apart and wonder wow what is this stuff.
