So, I'm considering a silo, grain bin what have you to feed my coal gun. The ones I've been looking at are 35' give or take.
A grain elevator is out because it would have to be at least 50' long.
So what other methods could be used to elevate the coal into the bin?
Blower, auger, vacuum, etc.
PEA coal.
Thoughts?

Auger, it comes closest to positive displacement for exceptional vertical movement of the coal.

Auger w/ wet coal can produce corrosion to iron/steel wear points.
Auger w/ dry coal can produce airborne dust at transfer points.

 Maybe rethink and excavate to bury a a couple 20' Corten steel shipping containers on a 45 degree angle.
If you could take a whole TT load, it could easily be loaded by gravity..."dump" trailer or "moving floor" trailer.

Hmm, that would be a deep hole. The coal wouldn't freeze up at all. Kinda liked the idea of a hunting platform at the top of the silo.
