Hi coal burning Brothers and Sisters, I have about 1500 pounds of stove size coal in my basement I need to bag up. It's left over from this year. I'll be using pea or buckwheat size next year so I gotta get this cleaned out.

I was hoping some of you that use bagged coal might have a stash of empty coal bags that are usable to refill. I'll pay shipping and for your time and effort involved, whatever you feel is reasonable.

Post a reply here or send me a private message :)

Thanks!

Recycled 40 lb. bags may hold ~33 lbs. You'd need ~45 bags to get the job done.

I have bought ebay "sand bags" woven plastic material, and they come with a integral tie and will easily hold 40 lbs. Ya'd need 37 of them.

I got my bags from the local 'feed store' they hold 100lbs of feed or grass seed and about 90 lbs of coal...paid $1.00 each and they lasted about 3 fill ups before the mesh webbing started leaking dust

Ask the feed mill who in your area uses the bagged feed and you

may find that they will give you the bags as they are one time use.

I got some from a horse farm and others from chicken farms and

they are like brand new.

Ryan has a feed store just down the road from me, I'll see what he's got.

Thank you for the great responses!
