Anyway the coal gods were with me and although I lost a nice job this morning, it did free up my morning. Ground was rock hard (12* last night) and there is now 1420 lbs. of new Lehigh rice in my bin. With what I had left that should be enough to get me through until the end of the heating season.
Oh man, that's great! The whole oil thing would have been very painful to watch. The intervention team was successful

Well I have to drive across my lawn to get to the coal bin window. Not an ideal setup but you have to play the hand you are dealt. If I built this house with a coal bin in mind things would be different. I don't want to dump coal ash and stone on my lawn. :no1: Anyway the coal gods were with me and although I lost a nice job this morning, it did free up my morning. Call off the intervention and get those black helicopters out of my air space!
Welcome back from the edge of the oily abyss. ;)

Father, forgive him, for he does not know what he is doing.
LMFAO, Good one Simon :D .
You guys crack me up  I can always find a good laugh somewhere on the board.

Well I have put 3400LBS through the #8 since 1st week of November, and I'm pretty close to your 16.7% more Larry as I used 2850LBS to date in 2017.

I'll bet that wily Fred has gone to coal gasification and has one of those 60mpg Ford carburetors that the dealers stole back off of customers cars in the early or mid 70's.

More seriously, I'm at about 1.5 tons, but only lit up on Nov. 10. Seems like a more normal 4 ton, Oct. to April, Winter.

That by itself makes a big difference compared to someone that lives in town, or in the woods.

On track to have burned a full 25% more coal this year. Not only because of a very cold winter but just as much in that here we are in early spring and its still snowing every other day and wont let up. Last year went through 3 ton ,this year got 4 just in case, and ill use it all. About a half ton left.
