Thanks BB .... I used their calculator and quoted just the basic battery packs . Didn't include the solar charger or installation.

Looks like I can pick up the basic backup for just under $34,000.00

I couldn't find any estimate of the expected battery life.

Oh well, you should have told me earlier. I'll phone California. If I can only put in 25 sq miles of solar panels then at last I will be free of the grid. The only thing missing from my life is a car that can out accelerate a Bugatti.

The stuff to avoid is the generators manufactured in India. All the CS/6 parts are available here

Why? The fishing boats from maintained by Sam Gott marine still rely on 50 year old engines. Soon the whole Glouster fleet is changing to solar panels, they are using them as sails ,,, hahahahhahahaa, I slay myself.
