I thought it'd be cool to have a thread dedicated to monitoring stations for our coal appliances. Anthracite burners, bit burners, stokers, hand feeders, boilers or furnaces, everyone please feel free to post pics and descriptions.

And what spawned this idea? Well I got one of those fancy Magnehelic draft gages for Christmas. So I totally revamped my monitoring station. Firstly I was shocked at how big this thing is lol. It was a struggle to get everything to fit inside the remote cam frame and then to get the lighting just right. The LCD screens have to pitched at just the right angle or you can't see them.

Top left red display is hot water coil.
Top right red display is warm air supply.
Remote BBQ thermometer is over the load door and flue pipe temps.
Then of course the monster sized Magnehelic draft gage in the center.
The green light to the right of the Magnehelic is illuminated when the thermostat calls for heat.

Here's a pic that includes the monitor board, remote IP cam and lighting.

Figured that was the finger pointing to the stove telling your lady friend to " turn it up a little bit more". Or maybe he wetted his finger to see how good it was drafting😊😊

Lee, Im assuming yours is live online so you can check it anytime? Pretty neat!

I use nothing but magnet thermometers on the side and manometers, and my ears to hear it roar so I know when its ready to close my draft after loading....my secondaries can really roar. maybe I should add a picture of my ear

Someone needs to get a live cam on FF's stove so we can watch him monitoring his stove live ;)

Thanks! Yeah, Dlink IP cam which uses a smartphone app so I can check it live from any location with WiFi or cell network service.
