The temps displayed on the picture, is that highest and lowest of readings in the frame?

Yes. The marker also has a reading in the lower left.

Some of the surfaces with high reflectivity will not display temp correctly unless I adjust the camera settings.

What is the marker? Forgive my elementary questions, I'm new to this thermal picture thing.

It's the little crosshair thing, it's a spot meter
The orange triangle is the high temp in the frame

It's a FLIR One for Android. It mounts to the USB and runs off an app. I use a 3rd party app that has some extra color pallets that the stock app does not have. It was $200. I don't remember the exact specs but I think the range is -10f to +250f. It's quite fun to mess around with.

More random pics.
Basement walls last year before insulation.

How about basement walls after insulation?

The left corner to halfway between the second and 3rd window is not insulated. The coal bin is on the far left and includes that window. The temps may be a little misleading. I took the original pic when I was just running the MK iii in the basement so ambient temperature was probably close to 80*, now with the boiler its steady at 70-72*

The middle basment window is where the rad sits that's in the pics above.

People are crazy to not insulate the exterior of there basements. I just built mine this summer, I did r-10 2” board all the way around the concrete pour walls down to footer depth.

The front where the two French doors are is 2x8” stick built with 8” insulation.

Nope! I should prob do a thread about the whole setup, I added some of it to my boiler build but not everything.
