I think the most I ever burned in a single week was 615 lbs. But due to a hard drive failure I lost all of my data for the coldest year we've experienced since installing the coal boiler.

That’s almost double what I’m burning now, although it could happen here! We can have some very nasty weather!

Lol well with 700’ of driveway and another small driveway to take care of, plus the 13 acres to tend too, and a small xmas tree farm possible in the future, it’s a smart investment for me.

Now I am burning a ton a week as we head into the next ice age. That is a lot of homers. I am a sensitive lad and I should be on a beach in Florida.

Shelleys sister is just South of Ventura county CA and she thinks cold weather is just fine. Her supervisor went home to find a pile of ashes.

AK180, DVC 500, POCONO, Keystoker 90, sunnyside in various areas on the farm. I fear it will only get worse from here. LOVE all that HO I am saving - God bless coal. I am sure I am a lightweight compared to some here.

Thanks hb, with three buildings 500 feet apart and granite ridges just under the soil, I was looking for a contractor to install it. Can you start in the new year? Are you good with dynamite?

No need for dynamite, just get good insulated pex. Run it over head if you have to.

It doesn’t matter, putting it in the ground is no different, if it’s not insulated good your going to loose heat either way.

Just call my brother. Granite is not a deal breaker, just a different rate. Like most things you are only limited by your imagination and checkbook.

They can even put the insulate pex in on grade with the D8 if you want. :D
