Wow, -9 predicted for my area on New Year's Eve. It'll be interesting to see if it turns out that way.

I'm curious, did anyone see a long range seasonal forecast that said we would have these way below average temperatures?

It's 5 degrees in Southwest Virginia, that's pretty cold here in the Appalachian Mountains but; nothing like y'all are getting up North. Stay warm and burn them Black Diamonds. Got a little Eastern Kentucky coal for the Warm Morning 400B.

Turned the Hitzer up a few notches, did you ??
You must have the Hitzer cranking,i thought sure your OAT would be much lower than that.

Predicted low for here was 11*,reality temp this am was 6* :what:

That is why i expected to see lower temps up there in Freetown.

I guess im at the high end here, its 14 here a 10 AM and windy . According to our long range forecast about 10 days of below avg then looks like avg or above. Coldest forecast temp here is 4 on New years eve. House a comfy 77, sunporch 88. K- 2 cruising nicely some idle time.

It was 11 here this am. Not as bad as many of you up north but the EFM was stretching it's legs for sure. Had some pretty long heat calls and the ash pan is filling much quicker than usual. I bumped the water temp up to 185. Had been running 170 for most of the season. 5 teeth, 5 air.
