Gumout works very well, but I imagine most store brands work fine also. Just make sure it has an "Extremely flammable" warning on the can.
Stabil or Startron works well enough for stabilizing the fuel, but stabilized gasoline is part of the hard starting issue. It keeps the gasoline from turning to varnish by reducing the volatility of the fuel. If you add some fresh gas to the tank, subsequent starts should be easier.
I have 5w-30 synthetic oil in my snowblower and it pulls over pretty easily.

13° here this morning , about 1” snow on ground , calling for 4-6 tonite. Put the plow on the buggy this morning , can’t wait to try it out. I bought my wife a cub cadet Challenger 750 this past summer and got the 6 foot plow with it . Traded in my small tractor I used for plowing. This should be easier on the old man. With cab out of the elements.

I just got in from snowblowing 5-6" of fresh snow. My neighbors are not going to be pleasant over this, but my wife had to get out and go to work at 5:00 AM.

Lol I usually don’t touch it for 7 days at a time, I tend it every Friday night.
I have a back up camera on it already! Guess I could put one on the front and some wireless gps controllers! Clean the driveway from my recliner!!

Will you be able to do that when it gets really cold? How much does that monster hopper hold? I've had individual weeks when I've burned 615 lbs.hotblast1357 wrote: ↑Thu. Dec. 14, 2017 12:26 pmLol I usually don’t touch it for 7 days at a time, I tend it every Friday night.

I don’t know! If I have a week of 0 degrees I might have to go down to 5 day tending.
I can get probably 400-420 pounds in the hopper if it is empty.

first real cold test of the reading stoker with the coal trol.
stove is running wide open and four degrees from set temp on the coal trol. i can give it more feed but then i get a lot more unburnt coal.
once it climbs above 24 degrees it starts to catch up.
need about 2 grand in insulation!
