Got a call last night from a friend of a friend. They have gotten up in years and have about a ton and a half of pea coal in their basement bin. Mom can't do the coal thing anymore so the family switched her to propane. They needed someone to come and get the coal from Mom's basement.

You gotta do what you gotta do. This means that I have to build another bin because my one ton bin is already full.

Dilemmas, dilemmas!!! Oh what shall I do.

Go and get it is what I do

I will be hooking up the Koker Lite this evening and firing it up for the season. It has been in the low 60s in the house and momma and little kidos come first so I'm burning black rocks again to keep family warm.

"Honey, where are you?" I hear, as I come up from the basement. "I was down in the basement." I said. "Oh, let me guess. You were looking at coal." She says. "Well, yeah. Have you been down here to see this beautiful pile of coal?" I said, smiling. "I peeked my head down there, but no, I didn't go down there and gaze at it"

Some people just don't understand....

I am on the edge of the white zone. Not sure what that means...probably that I will get the "normal" 20 MPH Northwest wind when it is 0 outside. I have an extra 5 tons on hand just in case things go on the other side of "average".

It will be cold like usual here rob no matter what the weather people predict.

Yeah, it is always cold, but some years are a lot worse than others. People forget what it is like to have a few weeks of zero degree weather in December.
