Am thinking of buying 6 - 7 tons of TSC coal in the near future for next year. The bags are white plastic with a built-in handles on the bags. The bags are white with black lettering." Premium Coal" supplied by TSC is written on the bags. Is it Kimmels, Reading, or Blaschak? Also, if anyone burned this coal in quantity this winter, how was it to burn? Was it clean, dry, uniform, low ash content? Would appreciate informative replies.
Thanks!
Thanks!

C, We had a big storm in Ct. so for me it was easy to stop at TSC for 10 bags of rice coal insted of digging out the coal pile on the top of my hill.
It burned well in my EFM, white ash, no junk , good heat. .......................
Try some.

I did buy 40 bags more this spring during the 15% off thing, but I wouldnt have paid $300/ton. I got good heat from it overall but it varied from one bag to the next even on same pallet. It stunk when igniting too, which from another poster may be used hydraulic oil. But I did buy more so take that for whatever its worth.

I'll be surprised if anyone at TSC will even know what you're talkin about.

People are lazy, they likely will just give you a copy from their supplier.warminmn wrote:I know Ive posted a meterial data sheet for ant before but maybe TSC has their own. Good idea DM. Hard to say what we'll learn from it.

I'm sure that they know ... they should have an OSHA safety officer and OSHA chemical hygiene safety officer and OSHA meetings once in a while and gone through OSHA training.freetown fred wrote:I'll be surprised if anyone at TSC will even know what you're talkin about.
They may say "Huh?" initially but I've never had anyone not provide one to me. I ask occasionally.
