Not just the driveway, when it gets icy, I use ash on the walks, too.

We worried about tracking it in the house, but outside the back door I have one of those cheap mats from Wal-Mart that's like Astroturf. Inside the back door I have one of the 3 x 5 foot, black $15.00 entry mats from Lowes. By wiping my shoes and boots on those two mats, there's nothing left to get on the floors.

Sounds like too much work to me. I think I'll just keep on filling up a wheel barrow, once full, drive it an acre and a half into the woods. Dig a hole down by the stream, bury with snow or sand, once I dig past the rocks, finish covering it with dried leaves, and return with an empty wheel barrow, to do it all over again 2 days later. :what:
