A week left, it must be killing him. I hope Trump buries his legacy really deep.

At the bottom of a coal shaft...
Voted twice for him... can't wait for him to go and stay gone... the poor coal industry... I listened to the head of the coal industry in a NPR forum and he says they have the technology to burn clean coal.... why not give it a chance... ? Hillary was as bad or worse as you know.. about Coal.
I say use what we have and work on alternative as well with goverment support like tax credits, etc Don't just pull the rug from under us.

I will be happy to see these questionable CO2 regulations rolled back. To me the destruction of the rain forest in the Amazon basin is a much more serious issue as to effects on CO2 levels then this smoke and mirror (pun intended) inexact CO2 discussion. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/26/business/energy-environment/china-coal.html?_r=0 LOL what Paris agreement. Give me a break.

It is positively unbelievable at the rate President Trump is dismantling the fetid House of Obama!! In one week Mr Trump has undone years of damage by the scum, Obama!! I'm sure that will cross over to the coal industry as well. Here in the U.P. of Michigan, coal fired electricity plants that were scheduled for closure, are now being scheduled for renovation!!!! The boilermakers up here have gone from zero work to a point where you can't even FIND a boiler maker to do a job for the next two years!! They've all been sucked up in the reinvigorating of systems requiring coal and boilers!! I hope that maggot Obama reels with every hit The Donald makes on his sorry @ss!! I haven't been this happy or giddy since Ronaldus Maximus took over back in 1981!!!

Very good news about the boilermakers! Clean coal is very possible. If the socialist has sunk the money into clean coal that he put into solyndra and windmills clean coal would be well on it's way by now. Fossil fueled generating plants are online 24/7. They do not need spotty sunshine or days without wind which cause brown outs and full power failures. Until they perfect these "green" things they will remain expensive experiments at the cost of taxpayers. The needs of large consumption entities like electrified commuter railroads and large manufacturing facilities are well beyond the capabilities of the experimental power sources.DennisH wrote:It is positively unbelievable at the rate President Trump is dismantling the fetid House of Obama!! It's easy to think industry eats up a lot of power, but what most people don't realize is the tremendous strain the rapid expansion of computers and cell phone use put on the power grid. And that coming at a time when there were crackdowns on the power industry trying to keep up. Almost a perfect storm situation.

x2. I saw an analyst presentation in 2015 that showed that if the servers that respond to clicks on internet links were hypothetically made into a country, they would be the 5th largest consumer of electricity on Earth. Good luck running that on wind and solar.Sunny Boy wrote:It's easy to think industry eats up a lot of power, but what most people don't realize is the tremendous strain the rapid expansion of computers and cell phone use put on the power grid.
