Hand Fed Coal Stove: Harman Mark III
Coal Size/Type: Nut

Post by Al Czervik » Wed. Dec. 21, 2016 7:25 pm

Basically removed a window and framed out the thimble. Hearth is 2x4 with a plywood top and a layer of durarock over it 1.5" bluestone wrapped with some leftover prefinished oak flooring. Triple wall Duravent chimney. Obviously the cat has a new favorite spot. I purchased the Mark III on CL for 500$ think I did alright with that deal. And I wish I knew why these pics are sideways.

Nice! I used a 2 by 4 and plywood frame under one of my stoves and it really helped spread the weight evenly on the floor. Doesnt cost an arm and a leg either. I never had a Mark III but from what Ive read they are a serious heater. For $500 you cant really go wrong there.

Nice clean install without dominating the entire room :)

If using Firefox, look for addon called "rotate image" Just right click an image and rotate CW or CCW when viewing a page
