I recently found this story from 1939 in an old newspaper .At the Lansford football stadium civic leaders planned to have santa arrive by small plane an parachute into the football field .Hundred of kids were on hand .At noon the drone of a plane was heard nearby .Soon the plane was sighted an a red suit clad fellow was on the wing of the plane .Well he jumped out of the planeBut a Gusty Wind blew him off course an He Landed In A Mine Car At No. ( mine .9 mine .Poor guy suffered a broken leg.No mention of what the kids day ended .Jack
