I am forbidding this move. You are an institution around here and you have a moral duty to your followers.

 Ok, since everyone seems to enjoy calling me prior to 9:30 am est, we have decided to move back to Pa!!!! :D

It's beautiful in Haines, Ak but the winters there are very dark and wet! We live in a small town surrounded by mountains and that just makes it darker! We've loved our adventure here but think it's time to come home where I can continue doing what I really enjoy, saving efm stokers from the scrap yard and making a bit of $ while doing it!!

We are back in town for about a month searching out a new place to live/run my refurb shop out of. Hopefully someplace in the middle of coal country. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

In addition to wanting a much larger showroom/warehouse, we will offer new, used and refurbished efm's (mainly), parts (new and used, in stock and mail order), a refurb service, as well as starting to accept credit cards for all parts and units purchased from us.

Hopefully we'll be back up and running sometime by the late spring. That way we can enjoy one more beautifully dark winter here in Haines!

In the meantime, we still do have some units available, partially refurbished.

2 - efm 350's
2 - efm 520's
1 - efm Highboy 520
1 - efm 1300

Please feel free to give me a call or email.

I am still in Tenn Fred.....And the grass gets greener sooner and stays greener later.....just saying. An old friend from Maine recently stopped by on his way to FLa. Called me the other night and said he should have got out for the winters years ago. He and his wife are just loving it to pieces. Hunting and fishing and riding back road. It is nice to be from someplace, and that place having a special value. But if you don't go look around you never know. And winters are really hard on older people...or is that preaching to the choir? LOL

Kevin

Hunker down and hope for spring.....and don't slip on the ice.

There is always something about somewhere...
That you like and one you hate...
Trick is finding the place that has the balance you can live with... ;)

Alaska is beautiful country.

The daylight issues kept us from moving there a while back...and the fact that my wife doesn't want to wear a hat ;) Go figure.

Now that my health is a problem, the cold puts me in fairly constant pain. Glad we didn't make that move. Life changes our priorities.

Welcome back to sunny Pennsylvania, Glenn!

We made it back to Pa in March and now live in Lake Ariel, Pa! :out: It's funny how everyone around us are saying how wet this summer has been! Compared to Alaska, by the coast anyhow, it has been a wonderfully sunny summer! 8-) We are loving it!!

As far as my big plans of getting a big shop/showroom...wll, let's just say we went in the wrong direction. I now am the proud owner of a 1 car garage shop!!! Reminds me of when I started out refurbing stokers about 15 years ago when I didn't even have that! Let the adventure begin again!

But it is good to be home. If I can be of any assistance to any of you all here on NEPA please let me know.
