Hello Jas. Beautiful stone work. Are you a mason? Gorgeous aesthetics. thanks for sharing your pics. Good to hear of another coal convert, and you're happy with the results.
I'm not too familiar with your stoves, like other members here, but does your Hitzer have a rheostat that controls fan speed? Can you lower or raise the speed? My buddy has a similar stove, and his fan sw went bad, so he installed an rheostat, and loves the variable speeds. Even turns it off in the shoulder months. Not sure how yours operates, but am confident the crew will be along shortly to guide you. Enjoy.
(TOTP)
(PS. Nothing personal)

Not a Mason, just a DIY’r. It’s a lot like tile work... easy once you get going. Thanks for the compliment.

I don’t have a rheostat that is fully adjustable. This model has three fan settings, on, off, and a temp switch that turns it on at a certain temp. Not speed adjustable.

You can add a plugin rheostat...
Leave it in the on position...
The temp switch was a PIA...

Should tell you it’s a Gnome 40 from Alaska, has a Direct Vent, and uses rice coal

Those are great coal stoves. I still have my Warm Morning 523, for a backup in case of power outages. My wife never was able to keep it from going out & I was working over the road, so I quit using it. I'm retired now & could go back to using it, but the stoker is doing a great job.
