For the gravity fed portion of it Dan, do you need to go outside sometimes and "kick the hopper" if it jams up? does that ever present a problem? Being outside, my bagged coal sometimes will clump up, so I'll need to bust it up, B4 I pour it.

No, it is a 6" pipe and it is a covered bin outside. I only had a problem once, wet coal froze. I took the bottom elbow off and ran a flue cleaning flexible rod up the pipe. I now buy my coal from a place that keeps it covered so no problems in years.

Got the DS Machine ComfortMax 75 installed today. Went with full length double walled flue pipe to get it as close to the wall as possible. The stove itself is double walled as well.

I'm not quite sure how I'm going to install a manometer through the double walled flue pipe.

how about a standard plumbing nipple with extra long NPT threads to reach all the way in thru the inner wall ? coupler on the other end , then the hose barb.

Just use the right size drill for whatever metal tube you are using and drill through both walls and secure with a dab of high temp,. silicone.

I'm a little ignorant, so please excuse my question, but I thought the chimney pipe out of the stove was "preferably" single wall black pipe, until the thimble where it adapts to double wall? Or is it more of a safety concern to have double wall all the way? Either/or, you have a very professional looking installation Larry.

Paulus ...
