Does anyone still have 56k?

You look like you are testing that OSB to its design limit. :D

Wish I could have an indoor bin but it's just not in the cards.

Is that stove size coal? Looks huge lol. Nice pictures! Coal likes a deep bed to burn in. Don't be afraid to fill the fire box to the top of the fire brick. Heat output is controlled with your combustion air knobs. I run my coal bed 10-12 inches deep with a mound in the center :D

Welcome aboard partner!

Here's under my grates. Looks kinda warm in there haha.

if it aint glowin its not blownin
yea its stove coal I used to run EGG/Broken but we find the smaller coal packs in tighter and gets more heat to the firebox
and yea that basement seriously needs to be cleaned but the house is from the late 1800's so its all relative I just got that bin filled up today I went in for my normal 1500LBS nut they had a new guy running the scales and he put a bit much in the back of my 1/2 ton pickup(2700lbs) so the bin got a bit of modification
pretty full now the fire brick doesn't come up very far I like to leave a little bit of room in case I need to leave so I can load it up
what you do don't see in the picture is that from about 5 foot from the wall and out to the top its all DOUBLE wall Stainless Class A
I am not scared of it iv had stack temperatures over 750F if the power goes out and the blower isn't running

I will probably show some more pictures, we have the forced air fan, when the chimney is not drawing great, like when its quite warm out.
And our King0Heat is in my laundry room, so you will see washer, dryer, and shelves of detergent.
And our coal bin is enclosed, so its not much to view.

But I will make a quick page of the views of it when I get a free moment. Perhaps get a grandson to help me make a video.

Yes, its a lot of fun communicating with people who still burn coal! And to see how our furnaces are set up.
But I guess not many stoves are in Granny's laundry room.

Thanks Ed. I was fortunate enough to have a friend taking out a flag stone wall in his yard just before I started. Worked out well for both of us. There was even enough left over to build a bar.
