Kinda unique in it's own way. Sorta looks like an insert. How's the innards?
The firebrick is intact, the grate is intact and the ash pan is even still in it. The later franklin style stoves really retained that insert look. Im restoring my 1870s home and returning many of the stoves. This one is going to live in the front parlor which is connected through pocket door to my rear parlor/sitting room where the family spends most of the time. Im hoping to use my boiler as back up heat for when the two stoves dont cut it.

It's 1.5" thick ceramic tile and the base is cast iron made to look like stone. Has thermostatic control. Also has a separate door above the grate for removing clinkers.

Folks,

I am new to the party! I installed my Liesure Line Pocono about 1 1/2 weeks ago and my forced air propane furnace hasn't kicked on since then. I love it! I am heating a small 1300 sq. ft cabin with a full basement. The stove is in the basement. I replaced the previous owners Pot Belly coal stove with a stoker. Best thing I ever did!

It keeps the entire house comfortable. I picked up 3 tons of Bleschek rice coal. Of course I am late to the party with it doubling in the last year (paid $425 a ton) but better late than never because its a much nicer heat.

I haven't priced propane in years. Is $425 a ton cheaper then propane? Blaschak is nearly $700 a ton here.

I am paying about $1.95 for propane, and I would say its fairly close, but I still think the coal is slightly less. That said, I have no doubt that the coal heat is 100% more comfortable than the forced air propane. I saw bulk rice hard coal the other day for $350 a ton picked up. That would certainly be cheaper, but handling the bagged coal seems easier to deal with for me at this point.

2 new postings. Both stoves appear to be good burners, and both with 8" pipes?!!! Didn't know big stove pipes were popular. Curious how many members stoves are 6, or 8". Would like to see a poll....just because. :annoyed:
(what-da-ya think, Bob, Lee?)
