My name is Jeff and we just started a coal stove business in Belleville, NY, about 50 miles north of Syracuse. People haven't burned coal here in 45 years and with the cost of firewood in our area we figured it's the right time to give it a shot. A man named Fred told me about this site and said it was full of information, which I see it is. Just wanted to say hi......

I don't want to spam and don't know what's allowed. Right now we have DS, Keystoker and Hitzer. We have Alaskan and Reading coming in shortly. We carry Reading and Blashak coal. I'm the only non Mennonite employee and the owner is Beachy Amish Mennonite, so I do the ordering and can use the net. We're selling our stoves at less than our distributors are selling for in their own stores to get the word out. We opened on July 27th and have sold a dozen so far so I guess that's a good start.

Thx everyone for the well wishes......

Thx again for a the well wishes.... On a good note we sold our first stoker today.....

I do have a question. Does anyone in your area of PA know someone that would like to truck coal up to our store in Belleville? The best we've been able to find is $650.00

Jeff

Here is one person and he is located not to far from you I think.

Coal Delivery 10Tons Bulk Anywhere in Northeast

There are others I believe here on NEPA who do haul coal and I hope others will chime in with their names as well.

We're in the 315 area code about 50 miles north of Syracuse near Lake Ontario just off Interstate 81. We're not set up for bulk coal drops this year and have been buying it either in 40 pound bags or one ton sacks. The guy we have now has a flat bed and brings 24 ton at a time but he only goes their randomly. It would be great to find someone coming up here empty to pick up that wanted to bring it on his way up.

Perhaps this thread will help you as well. Hope you can find someone in your area who makes a PA run on a regular basis and could use a load back. Put the word out as much as can. Chance favors the prepared. :D
