Well, well, well. What's the deal with George Soros buying millions of dollars worth of shares in a couple coal companies? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel or what? I just heard about it, and haven't looked it up.

Like samhill always says--" follow the money" maybe there is that light. Personally I never had any doubts. Soros may be an idiot, but he's a damn rich idiot!

Soros' ONLY focus is on the money. He got his puppet, Obama, to pressure the EPA to make coal look like it's going down the tubes so the value would drop and, low and behold, he buys up coal. Now I imagine the EPA will have a change of heart and loosen restrictions on burning it or, a better bet is that he will sell his coal to the highest bidder, China, and once again in this world of free trade, we will be left sucking hind teat.

Yes, yes! "Soros' ONLY focus is on the money". He is a socialist in capitalist clothing. He also owns big stock in Burlington Northern Railroad and guess what they haul from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming.....coal in mega amounts. Powder River is the largest open pit mine in the US and the Bit coal from there is said to be of the highest quality (for Bit that is).
Japan is on a real tear building coal fired power plants in the aftermath of the earthquake and subsequent fear of Nuke power plants.
China in light of some goofy agreement with Obummer has decided to take 15 years to "think" about coal power abatement and still continues to build coal plants about 10 times as fast as we can tear ours down. They are also mining coal from what is said will become the world's largest open pit mine.
As for soro's plans? As said previously either kill our coal or get even wealthier from it. Scary no matter how you look at it.

If you want to take an optimistic view, I'ld like to think the new Republican administration that will be taking over soon, will loosen all the EPA restrictions and mandates, and open all our mines back up, which will make them profitable once again, then their shares will go up, and Soros' will continue to be rich. And he knows it.
