Got 6.1 tons of coal today... Last season I was really impressed with how responsive the half stove half nut size mix was. This season I went further with it and got 5 tons of Stove size mixed with a little over a ton of nut size. Some BIG pieces in this load lol. I was lucky this delivery since the bank that the truck has to get up on was nice and solid due to the last few weeks of dry spell. Last year his truck sank in clear to its axel.
My winter heating bill is all paid for, love it! The $100 bill in the pile is one of many that I saved by burning coal instead of propane.
Who else has their coal supply ready?

I've been ready since I purchased my 2015/2016 coal in late May, with delivery received in early June. I have about 6-1/3 tons at the ready. Still burning to provide for DHW.

I think I am ready! Just finished filling the new bin yesterday with about 3 1/2 to 4 ton (It's 6' x 12' at the top). Have about 2 ton in a small trailer and about 4 ton in the driveway yet. I need to make hoops for the top to hold a tarp and finish some painting on it. I'm expecting my yearly usage to be about 3 ton.

Put 2 tons of bagged Reading nut in the basement in July, added to the 3/4 ton leftover from last year.
That should be enough for the 'Herald' and the 'Chubby'.
Cheers

I got 3 tons rice delivered on 8/1. I need to pick up a ton of pea at end of month and I'll be ready for winter.

I got my delivery yesterday just under 23 ton nut from Lehigh. Still have 2 ton bags leftover from last year. I should be good for the next 10 or 12 years. I burned 2 ton + 2 bags last year. I will sell a few tons of the Lehigh if anyone close is interested.

Just wondering what that log pile would look like in the next 10-12 years?? Coal will still be sitting there ready to burn
